Wanna Be Famous?
Simply upload a video, browse the other contestants and request a battle. During a battle, invite your friends, fans, and family to watch and vote for you - the more battles you win, the higher your FamousFACTOR will be.
At the end of each month, the contestant with the highest FamousFACTOR in each category, will receive the Most Famous Talent Award for that month, and will be qualified for the big finals in May, 2015. The final winners will be invited to perform live in Las Vegas, at the Most Famous Awards Show in June, 2015.
Starting in August 2014, IWBF will launch Most Famous Radio, Most Famous TV and Most Famous Records. People from all around the world will be able to listen to, watch and download the songs of our contestants and 70% of the revenue will be paid to the artists.
What is I Wanna Be Famous! (IWBF)?
A: “I WANNA BE FAMOUS!” (IWBF) is the world’s first global interactive talent contest where the audience is the judge. Our contest is not just about liking and voting; at IWBF the contestants challenge in 1-on-1 battles to find the most famous talents from all around the world
When did Season 1 of IWBF begin?
A: IWBF Season 1 runs for 12 months, starting July 1, 2013 and ending June 2014 with the big final live show in Las Vegas, NV, USA. The Contest submission period started July 1, 2013 at 12:00a.m. US Pacific Time and ended on April 30, 2014 at 11:59p.m. US Pacific Time. In May 2014 we are running our Finals followed by the Most Famous Awards Show on June 25, 2014 which will be held live in Las Vegas, NV, USA at the Tommy Wind Theater right on the famous Las Vegas Boulevard.
When does Season 2 of IWBF begin?
A: THE CONTEST runs for 12 months, starting July 1, 2014 and ending June 2015 with the big final live show in Las Vegas, NV, USA. Artists can upload their videos starting May 1, 2014 and the first battles will start on July 1, 2014 at 12:00a.m. US Pacific Time. We will have 10 months of qualification rounds until April 30, 2015 at 11:59p.m. US Pacific Time, followed by the Finals in May 2015 and the Most Famous Awards Show in June 2015 which will be held live in Las Vegas, NV, USA.
What are the categories of IWBF Season 2?
A: This IWBF Season 2 is open for 12 competing categories as follows:
Male Vocals 14+ - Any language
Female Vocals 14+ - Any language
Duos 14+ - Any language, any combination of 2 performers together
Groups/Bands 14+ - Any language, any combination of 3 or more performers together
Male Dancers 14+ - Solo
Female Dancers 14+ - Solo
Dance Groups 14+ – Any combination of 2 or more performers, including dancing couples
Instrumentalists 14+- Any solo or groups playing instruments or imitating instruments (for example beatboxers)
Magicians 14+
Comedians 14+ - English language only
Variety 14+ - Show us your talent not covered by one of the other categories
Kids 0 - 13 - Any talented kids are welcome: singers, dancers, musicians, magicians, comedians, artists, talents, you are all invited to share your talent with us. Your submissions must be done by your parents or guardians.
Who can participate?
A: You need to be at least 14 years of age to participate and not holding a professional record contract at the time you enter. If you are younger than 14 years of age you are allowed to participate in the Kids Category only, but it must be your parents or legal guardians to open the account and to submit your videos. If you or your management is signing a professional record contract during the contest with any label other than Most Famous Records, represented by Most Famous, Inc., you need to leave the contest immediately or you need to give us written permission to display your video and to play/promote your song without obligation to pay any license or other fees.
All participants under the age of 18 or not an adult by law in their jurisdiction are allowed to enter the contest but must present a written parent’s or legal guardian’s permission to participate in the finals after qualification.
Is there a cost to participate?
A: No, it is totally free. As one of the final winners you will need to pay for transportation to the nearest international airport and all food and beverages during your journey. If you need a passport or visa to travel to the United States, all costs related to get the needed documents are to be paid by you. The airfare, ground transportation in Las Vegas from LAS airport to hotel and back, from hotel to stage and back is covered by the final prize.
What do I win?
A: 120 monthly prizes: The contestants with highest FamousFACTOR at the end of each month in each category will receive the monthly Most Famous Award for their category and qualify for the finals period. If a monthly winner is already qualified for the finals period, the contestant with the highest FamousFACTOR from that category who is not yet qualified for the finals period will qualify. (Value approximately US$200 per winner)
11 (eleven) final prizes: The final winners of each category who did not become the Grand Prize winner will be invited to take part in the Most Famous Awards Show 2014 as a music act or dance act. Airfare, accommodation and ground transportation in Las Vegas between airport, hotel and stage is included in the final prizes. For groups/bands the number of people being considered as the winner is limited to a maximum of 5 people (active group/band members). Additional people would need to pay the extra costs on their own to participate. (Value approximately US$5,000 per winner)
1 (one) Grand Prize: The final one Grand Prize winner ("Grand Prize Winner" or "Winner"), will get a full album CD (music) or DVD (artist) professionally produced and marketed by a leader in the music/show business and will present music acts from this CD or dance acts from this DVD as the main act at the Most Famous Awards Show 2014. Airfare (business class), 7 nights accommodation in a suite (5***** Hotel) and ground transport (limousine) in Las Vegas between airport, hotel and stage and an entertainment package (3 live shows / concerts) is included in the Grand Prize. For groups/bands the number of people being considered as the winner is limited to a maximum of 5 people (active group/band members). Additional people would need to pay the extra costs on their own to participate. (Value approximately US$50,000)
How do I participate?
A: It must comply with the IWBF Terms and the file must be one of the allowed video formats.
What are the allowed video formats?
A: Allowed Formats: asf, wmv, mov, qt, 3g2, 3gp, 3gp2, 3gpp, gsm, mpg, mpeg, mp4, m4v, mp4v, cmp, divx, xvid, mpeg, avi, flv
What is the maximum file size for a video and is there a limit to the length of my video?
A: Your video is limited to 7 minutes and 700 MB.
How long does it take to upload a video?
A: Uploads take an average of 1-5 minutes per MB on a high-speed connection, and converting your video takes a few additional minutes.
Can I upload a video originally created by someone else?
A: No. Only upload videos created by you.
If you are using any image, music, song, people, or words created by someone else, you must ask the creators and/or copyright holders for permission before you upload your video. Some copyright holders expect to be named in the video’s credits. If you are not sure, ask the original creator/copyright holder.
Can I sing a song from another singer/songwriter?
A: Yes. Please have in mind that copyright is different from country to country. The best way is to ask the copyright holder to give you written permission to do a cover version of the song. It is up to you to upload a cover version of an existing song without written permission but if the copyright holder is complaining, we will delete your video without further notice.
When uploading a cover version you need to name the original artist and the original song title.
Can I upload more than 1 video at a time?
A: You can only have 1 video at a time in the contest. You are allowed to remove or archive your current video. By doing so you will forfiet any current battles and you will need to setup new battles.
How long does it take a video to go live?
A: Videos are moderated and must be approved. Once uploaded and converted, it can take up to 6 hours for the video to be approved and go live.
Do I need to submit my video by a certain time to enter?
A: Entries must be received during the submissions period which is ending April 30, 2014 at 11:59p.m. US Pacific Time. But please have in mind that IWBF is a contest to become famous. The earlier you submit your video, the longer is the time period to attract fans, to win battles and to build your FamousFACTOR.
My video has been approved, what next?
A: Once your video has been approved, you need to start 1-on-1 battles vs. other contestants by requesting battles or by accepting battle requests that you might receive from other contestants. (Battles starting July 1, 2014) Remember to invite your friends and family to come and be your fan, like your video, and vote for you. Check out the other videos, vote in the battles, and have fun !
